How To Hard-Reset/Unlock Android Phones When You Forget Your Password Or Lock Pattern

In this tutorial, you will learn how you can reset and unlock android phones when you forget your password or lock pattern.

Though there is no one specified method to flash all android phones, but I will try my best to list different methods of hard resetting different types of android phones.

You will agree with me that people easily forget their passwords or lock pattern due to frequent changing of passwords or draw patterns but with this tutorial, you can easily unlock android phones.

When you forget the password to your android phone or your android phone lock pattern, you cannot make use of your mobile phone again unless you get rid of the password or pattern request screen.

Now note this, hard resetting an android phone is just the same thing as flashing the phone. The only difference is that in flashing, you need a phone engineer and you will also spend some money but in hard reset, you need just your phone and this tutorial guide.

When you hard reset your android phone, all the files and apps in the phone apart from the ones the phone came with, will be lost but this will not affect your SD card (memory card). Only files you have backed up earlier will be available. But if you forget your phone password and there are some important files in the phone which you would not want to lose, then follow the steps I will list below to first back up your phone before hard resetting it {this method may not work for all android phones}.

Switch of your phone and remove the battery then insert it back again (if your phone battery is in-built, just switch it off and follow the steps below).

Hold the up volume button and power button simultaneously and a pop-up screen will appear use the volume keys to scroll up and down then use the power button to select an option. Scroll down to ‘phone back-up’ or any similar option and press the power button to select.

After backing up your files (if the above method worked for you), then the next step is to flash/hard reset the phone. This option turns your phone to a new phone and also restores all factory settings.

Like I said earlier, there are different methods of flashing different android phones so pick from the lists below, any method that would work for your phone. Good luck.
